I rented a road bike in advance. The communication was top! I had to pay a part in advance and the rest on location.
I got everything I needed like of course bike, helmet, lock, spare tube.
There were some time changes from my side and I tried to inform Alberto as early as I could via whatsapp. I know that wasn't easy but everything worked out fine.

I had a good time and would use or rent a bike there again. 🙂

Fabulous day yesterday, enjoyed the off road ride around the southern tip of Tenerife from Palm Mar to El Médano on electric mountain bikes - very scenic and just challenging enough for unfit oldies who like cycling!
We were collected on time from our hotel at Costa Adeje and driven to palm mar to the east, where we started the ride. Mostly off road over the slightly undulating volcanic coast, through some old fishing villages and round a golf course. The electric mountain bikes certainly helped in the strong easterly wind.
I paid a deposit online when I booked and the balance at the end of the trip. Great start to our holiday.

Warning** my partner and I went on the Down Tiede ‘easy’ off road ride with Alberto in August. My partner and I are experienced cyclists but the ride was very fast downhill on rough, stoney volcanic tracks. Alberto went ahead very fast. We were really enjoying it, and once we had got a feel for the bikes, we picked up pace trying to keep up with Alberto. Unfortunately, half way down I must have pulled the wrong brake (opposite to UK bikes) anyway, my back wheel skidded and I came off. Luckily nothing broken but trip to A&E as needed several stitches in my arm plus pretty horrendous grazes + bruising. We both really feel strongly that it should be made clearer what to expect on this ride and we should of been offered elbow/knee protection or at least advice on appropriate clothing to wear (not short sleeves and cycling shorts) it’s a very fast ride and bloody hurts if you come off! Not ‘easy’ as stated on their website. Disappointed also that Alberto took ages to take me to the local A&E, which I clearly needed, trying medical centres first, late at night which were all closed. He has never followed up with me to see how I am etc. It wouldn’t have taken much to check on me a week or so later. My injuries were pretty bad, lots of blood and quite a deep arm wound. Coming off the bike was very traumatic - I also got an infection and it was ‘touch and go’ as to whether we’d be able to fly home Anyway, I’m still healing and will have a nasty scar to remind me of how foolish I was not wearing better protective clothing etc. I do think we should have been given this advice by Alberto beforehand. We didn’t really know what to expect on the ride so just letting you know too that if you come off up there you have to keep cycling with any injuries (I did 5km) until transport can reach you to get you back to a town/hospital. Disappointed with the communication from Alberto and sheer lack of concern after the event and once he had been paid. Shame. It really spoilt the end of our lovely holiday in Tenerife.

Ci siamo affidati a questa organizzazione sia per l’affitto delle biciclette, sia per i tour sull’isola.
Il servizio di Alberto e del suo collaboratore Andrea è stato eccellente, le bici ottime non hanno riscontrato alcun problema durante i cinque giorni, ed il servizio di assistenza al seguito ci ha permesso di soddisfare ogni nostra esigenza. I vari percorsi che abbiamo fatto, sono stati motivo di grande soddisfazione, luoghi incantevoli di interesse naturalistico e paesaggistico, oltre all’aspetto sportivo caratterizzato da ascese di buon livello.
La cortesia e simpatia di Alberto e Andrea hanno fatto il resto, la loro compagnia è stata piacevole e divertente, l’impressione nei cinque giorni è quella di aver pedalato con amici e non con persone che stavano svolgendo un lavoro. Ma la loro cordialità, non ha significato affatto scarsa professionalità, tutt’altro, sono stati estremamente competenti.
Giudizio più che positivo, se vi sarà l’occasione di tornare a Tenerife, non avremo alcun dubbio sull’affidarci nuovamente a West-Tenerife, il connubio ideale per chi vuole scoprire l’isola in ogni aspetto, affidandosi a persone qualificate ed estremamente professionali.

Can highly recommend West Tenerife Bike. We were picked up at the hotel and driven back after a fantastic trip. The guide was good at spreading a nice atmosphere in the group. The guide is very skilled.
MTB cycles, helmets, water, and some refreshments were provided during the trip, as well as a good cup of coffee before the trip started
