Stella delivered appliances 3 times to our place and I was extremely pleased with their professionalism, work completed to install and remove all appliance, and focus on the details like cleaning after removal, ensuring I understood how to use the appliances for first time, etc. For one of our appliances they were on top of the damage and called to ensure we would get a new one quickly. They did not try and hide it from us. Top notch!

I scheduled delivery and installation with Stella Delivery for my range, fridge, microwave, beverage cooler, and hood two days before Christmas 2024. What should have been a straightforward service turned into an unprofessional, frustrating, and borderline extortionate experience.

From the moment the delivery and installation team arrived, they started complaining about various aspects of the job. First, they argued that the front door, which is 36 inches wide, was too small to bring in my counter-depth fridge (24 inches deep and 48 inches wide). When I suggested bringing it in from the side, they rudely dismissed me, stating that I wasn’t a professional and they’ve been doing this for years. This left me no choice but to involve my appliance vendor, who had to escalate the matter to Stella Delivery’s CEO just to get the team to stop making excuses and bring the fridge inside.

After over two hours of inching their way inside, the second round of issues began. They installed the range and beverage cooler but refused to assemble the fridge, citing that the outlet for the fridge had to be at the top of the kitchen, not 18 inches off the ground (which is standard). Despite my efforts to resolve the situation by asking them to simply assemble the fridge without connecting it, as my electrician would handle the power, they left all the appliances in the middle of the kitchen and went back to their truck.

To make matters worse, I later discovered that critical parts of the fridge, such as the water dispenser, had been left in their truck. When I called the appliance vendor to follow up, they assured me they’d contact Stella Delivery, but I have yet to see the missing parts.

What truly set this experience apart as one of the worst I’ve ever had was the behavior of their manager. When I escalated the issue, hoping for a resolution, I was met with an unapologetic and rude response. Instead of showing empathy or addressing her team’s unprofessional behavior, she coldly stated that their policies must be followed, offering no constructive solutions.

Thankfully, my kitchen contractors were present and offered some valuable insights. Based on their professional experience, they concluded that the delivery and installation team’s complaints were nothing more than attempts to extort additional money. For example, they refused to install the hood unless I paid an extra $200 to drill into the backsplash, claiming their $600 installation fee only covered drilling into drywall. At every turn, it seemed like they were fabricating issues to justify additional charges. By the end of the day, it was clear that if I wanted them to finish the job, I would have had to pay nearly $2,000 extra on top of what I had already paid. Given that this was two days before Christmas, they clearly felt they could exploit the urgency of the situation.

At the time of writing this review, I am considering legal action for the stress, delays, and incomplete service. Stella Delivery and Installation turned what should have been a seamless process into a nightmare. If you value professionalism, integrity, and peace of mind, I strongly advise against using their services.
